AIDAN WARE has more than seventeen years of experience in arts management, spanning three important provincial public art galleries. She is a passionate advocate for artistic engagement, in the belief that creativity forms the foundations of thriving, strong, dynamic communities. Aidan joined Cambridge Art Galleries as Gallery Director in 2015 to oversee the administration and artistic programming for three distinct public art gallery locations: Queen’s Square Gallery and Preston Gallery, which present exhibitions of contemporary art; and Design at Riverside which is an architecture and design Gallery in partnership with the University of Waterloo, School of Architecture. Prior to joining Idea Exchange, she was the Director & Curator at Gallery Stratford (Stratford, ON) and she served ten years as the Coordinator of Education and Development at the Macdonald Stewart Art Centre (now the Art Gallery of Guelph in Guelph, ON). In 2014, Ware was presented with the Stratford Woman of the Year Award for Arts and Culture and in 2011 she was a recipient of the 2011 Guelph Mercury Top 40 Under 40 Award. She is a member of regional arts committees and has served on many community art juries.
